What does God hate and why? Many believers avoid the question because it sounds harsh. This 13-part devotional series faces it with honesty and hope.
Built on Proverbs 6:16-19 and other Bible passages, every episode opens a courtroom scene. Each one names a real charge from Scripture, calls a witness from the Bible, and then shows how Jesus stepped forward to take our place. The title comes from Isaiah 1:18, where God invites us to come and reason with Him.
Every episode begins with a modern story set in a different city of the world, from Chicago to Mumbai. You will see how pride, lies, anger, gossip, dishonesty, injustice, empty worship, and idolatry show up in ordinary life. Then you will see how God’s grace reaches into each one.
Does God really hate anything? Yes. Proverbs 6:16-19 lists seven things He hates, and other passages add more. But His hatred is aimed at sin and at what harms people, not at people themselves. John 3:16 and Romans 5:8 show His love for sinners.
What are the seven things God hates in Proverbs 6? Haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies, and a person who stirs up conflict in the community.
Is this series only about sin? No. Each episode moves from the problem to the Redeemer. Jesus took the punishment, and His grace teaches us how to live differently.
How should I use the series? Read one episode daily. Memorize the verse, answer the questions, and try one of the steps. It also works well for small groups and family devotions.
